Allstar nodes can be controlled by remote users using DTMF tones. Each node can be configured how the owner decides best suits the individual application.
MB7INM & MB7ANM have the following functions available
Basic DTMF Functions
*1 => Link Disconnect
*2 => Link Connect (Monitor Only)
*3 => Link Connect
To connect to another Allstar node, use the Link Connect (*3) plus the node number. For example, to connect to node 2000, use *32000.
To Disconnect from a node, use the Link Disconnect (*1) plus the node number.F or example, to disconnect from node 2000, use *12000 or use (*73) Disconnect All Links.
To find a list of active node numbers click on the Active Nodes menu option located above.
Advanced DTMF Functions
*70 => Link Status (directly connected nodes)
*73 => Disconnect all links
*75 => Full system status (Use with extreme care, as if connected to a major hub there will be a lot of nodes connected and the system can time-out before listing them all.)
*77 => Reconnect links disconnected with "disconnect all links"
*80 => Transmit the node ID locally only
*81 => Transmit the current time locally only
*59 => Connect local node to HubNet UK
Both nodes are connect by default to a local hub node 44280 which is always connected to the HUBNet node 41522. If either MB7INM (442650) or MB7ANM (44240) have been disconnected by a local user they will automatically reconnect to the hub node (44280) after 15 minutes on inactivity on the nodes RF receiver. This is so local users can experiment connecting to different nodes and the gateways will always reconnect to HUBNet afterwards.
Before connecting either node to another node please disconnect all local nodes first using *73. This will prevent problems that can happen when you connect to others node while connected to a large network Like HUBNet. It's easy to interlink large networks through one of the local nodes which causes interference to all users and extra network traffic through the local node.
